Just a few more minutes and it's LABOUR DAY!! I've been thinking... after I graduate and become a staff nurse, I won't be having any Labour Day holiday and so I have to cherish it tomorrow. =P.
I just came back from my "shopping trip" with my bro in TM and as usual we were given the "look". That means all the makciks' looking at us in a stern and unapproved way. To cut long story short, they thought we were lovers!! Furthermore, when my bro meets his old army and schoolmates, they will always ask this question.
"Is that your girlfriend?"
We are really getting tired of it by the minute especially when the makciks' keep giving us the stare. My brother even spoke under his breath "Ini adik saya makcik" which means "This is my sister aunty". It will be really great if one day, we proclaimed to the whole world that he is my brother and I am his sister. We also joked about having a shirt saying "My sister" and "My Brother"! LOL
Oh well.. nothing can be done. We can't change the colour of our skin to look alike and not to have eyes staring at the back of our heads. Maybe there's a reason why we aren't alike... to scare away the admirers!! LOL
Changi General Hospital called me in the evening asking me whether I want to get a sponsorship with them. After so many pondering, thinking, doubtful thoughts, I said no. When I met my parents later and told them about it, they started talking about why I did not want to sign a bond with CGH since it's near Pasir Ris rather than TTSH.
It was really hurtful to hear that my parents didn't respect my choice of not signing a bond with CGH, especially my dad. What he said really hurt me alot. He said that if I did not sign up the bond, I'm making a very big mistake and I could not go anywhere. Well.. at least my brother retorted back saying that my dad should respect other people's choices. I felt like arguing back but heck.. it's not worth it.
So now.. even after I've declined the offer, I'm still at a loss. Should I or should I not take the bond? God, please help me ease my problems and show me the path that I am to take. You are the Almighty that knows all the answers and know what is right and what is not. I really need some guidance right now...
I know that I have not been updating my blog but that does not mean that I'm neglecting it!! Na-ah!!
I'm in the middle of my second week in school and I'm still trying to get used to the early morning schedules and classes. That's what having a month of holiday with nothing to do will do to you!! I'm learning Sociology as usual but Psychology's back again! I'm learning a different type of Psychology that I took in Year 1. I took Introduction in Psychology in Year 1, Semester 1 but this time I'm taking Abnormal Psychology in Year 2. Abnormal Psychology is about learning different type of disorders like anxiety disorder where schizrophenia, OCD and phobias come from; personality disorders and so on. I'm probably learning this because this year I'll be going to IMH for one of my attachments!
I saw Maroon 5's latest video "Makes Me Wonder" and I'm starting to have the hots for Adam Lavine!! He looks so good in a suit and *shrieks* He's just so tasty!! Oh man.. I love it when he raised his eyebrow!! I'm having the jitters by just imagining it!! Here's Maroon 5's latest video!!
Today is the best day of my life!! I found a new bookstore in Vivo City and it's super damn HUGE!! There were so many books that I was freaking out and almost hyperventilating!! I know I'm going to betray my regular bookstore hangouts like Kinokuniya and Borders, but PAGE ONE is the bomb!! THERE ARE SO MANY BOOKS THAT I WANTED TO BUY SO MANY but sadly.. I was broke!! T__T
Anyway... today I met my brother in Vivo City and surprise, surprise, he told me he broke up with his girfriend... due to religion. It wasn't expected but hey.. life has to go on like he said. So we went to Fig & Olive for dinner and it was delicious due to the fact that I didn't eat anything, nada for lunch. We then walked around and found out more about the Singtel Student Plan that we were interested in. And well.. not to my surprise really that whenever my brother stumbled on a friend or two, they think I'm his GIRLFRIEND!! And expected they were shocked!! Who to blame.. we just don't look alike! =P
p.s. I actually like the fact that people think I'm his GF.. cos then girls can't get near him!! Bwahahah... just joking!! =P
I am so tired after spending almost the whole day in school. School will only start in less than a week and I'm already going back almost any other day for the preparation of Club Crawl which is NYP's CCA open house. And plus being the VP of Mentoring Club makes it much more worse.. with all the work load on my shoulders and trying to plan everything before the next batch of mentors come in...
Sadly, tomorrow I won't be getting a time-off from all the preparations but hey Wednesday I'll be free!! Just a few more days till school starts for me!!! BOOOOO!!! =P
It seems that this year will offer the best movies ever. Transformers, which my brother cannot wait, Pirates Of The Carribean: At World's End which my dad is anticipatingly waiting for, Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix which I honestly can't wait, Spiderman 3 and well many more to come.
Pirates Of The Caribbean (POTC) surprisingly has Singapore mentioned again and well Chow Yun Fat's going to represent us! LOL. I don't know why some people are heated over him acting as a Singaporean pirate.. I mean if you think about it, Singapore was once infested by pirates!! If you don't believe me, check out the story of Sentosa. Sentosa was once called Pulau Belakang Mati which literary means Island Behind The Dead. It is so called because pirates territorise the seas of Pulau Belakang Mati and there were many man-slaughter which resulted to its name and then it changed to Sentosa which means Peace in Malay.. But anyway.. I have the trailer of POTC 3 here..
Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix.. well I'm excited to watch it but I wonder will it be great or just good. The previous movies were kind of a let down since some important parts from the book were missing in the movie. But anyhow.. here's the trailer to HP!!
AND FINALLY... are you someone who sleeps early like me and could not even open our eyes after 11? And the new Spiderman 3 trailer will be shown exclusively on Channel 5 after Prison Break.. so can you bear it? If you can't and still want to see it.. don't worry cause I have it here with me. All I've got to say.. I CANNOT WAIT TO WATCH SPIDERMAN!!
Well.. I guess these are the movies that I cannot wait to watch! They're gonna finish up all my allowance money... hehe
