Whew! Tiring day today. Had my orientation for another new club that i joined, the Mentoring Club. It's all about being student mentors mentoring sceondary school students in academics. Not only that, we also try to have some fun with them. Found it pretty cool and fun... so now I'm stuck with two clubs, the Ambassodorial Team and this Mentoring Club. Both are very precious to me so can't give them up!!!

Today was the day I had my ICA. It was cool, awesome, great... to sum it all, no words can describe what I had felt after the presentation. LOL. It was joy to my ears to listening to the laughter erupting around the room. See what a simple video can do to people... cheh... hehe
I guess all the hard work has paid off people!! We literally had to sacrifice our weekends just to plan and shoot the video. Congrats to my group members! We've made it and I think we deserved it!!!

So anyway, let's backtrack a little bit. While waiting for my orientation, I went to the library. It was 2, so I had one and a half hour to slack around. I took out my latest Gossip Girl novel, Only In Your Dreams and finished it in an hour! It was a continuos reading mind you. I didn't just read it from the beginning to the end! I'll be cock-eyed then! LOL I just read where I had left off and let me tell you, the book's awesome!! As usual!! hehe. If you wanna know all about it, go to the "M.U.S.T. R.E.A.D" section, a review of books that I've read and recommend! Yup guess that's all I have to say!! Ciao!!

Anyways, heard about the quake in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It's really saddening to hear about it and to come to think of it, I was there on holiday a few months ago, admiring the beauty of the place and the magnificent Mount Merapi. There's this news that caught my eye and it's really remarkable that one of the wonders of the world was not affected. I was there before with my family... Here's the news that I got from MSN news.

World’s largest Buddhist temple OK after quake
Twenty-five miles away, 7th century’s Borobudur temple unaffected

YOGYAKARTA, Indonesia - The Borobudur temple, the largest Buddhist monument on earth, was not affected by the powerful earthquake Saturday that left thousands dead, local officials said.

A mass of forbidding black stone, Borobudur was built in the 7th century by the Javanese rulers of the Syailendra dynasty and is one of Indonesia’s most popular tourist attractions, drawing millions of people every year.

Standing 25 miles northwest of the city of Yogyakarta, which was badly damaged by Saturday’s magnitude 6.2 earthquake, Borobudur appeared to escape damage, said Kuntung, a district official who goes by one name.

But a number of shrines in the Prambanan temple compound, 22 miles to the southeast, did suffer damage, said Lt. Yulianto, a local police officer and media reports. It was not immediately clear how badly.

Borobudur was abandoned for centuries-the reasons remain a mystery-and lay hidden under layers of volcanic ash and jungle growth until it was discovered in 1814 by Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles during the English occupation of Java island, the cultural and population center of modern-day Indonesia.

A massive restoration was carried out in the 1970s under the guidance and financing of UNESCO.

The Prambanan temple was built in 850 B.C. and is the largest Hindu temple compound in Indonesia. Not long after its construction, the temple was abandoned and began to deteriorate.

The reconstruction of the compound began in 1918 and is currently unfinished. Like Borobudur, Prambanan is also an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I'm in school right now using my friend's laptop dicussing our presentation but nothing has been achieved yet... lol. With one more presentation added to our work load, I don't think we can make it...

Anyways, today, we started discussing about our new presentation on Sociology... and I think it's quite a hilarious but worthless I guess...

Britney Spears is our topic and we had fun discussing about her... but I don't get the point of why we have to find alot of stuff about her! First of all... she's not in the news anymore except for getting pregnant again and getting the Children Welfare to enter her house just because for getting her son hurt....

Well... I guess there's no more I can write about.... I'm having my writer's block after thinking of Britney Spears for half an hour.... LOL

A week of school and I'm already stressed out. A group presentation that has still to be done is dued next Wednesday... and it'll be graded... and my group have not yet completed yet. We've tried rehearsing the skit but I guess it needs a bit of improvement. I'll be meeting my group members tomorrow and on Sunday to brush up on the skit.... haiz... my weekends taken up!!!

Anyway... I joined this really new and cool website called "Where Are You Now". It's some sort like Friendster but this website allows you to see people around the world and countries they have been to for their holidays. The interesting part is you are able to find out how many people are visiting the countries you have been or are going there soon! Isn't that cool!!! Thanks to my brother who invited me... I am able to explore the website!! If you would like to see it, you could go to this webbie http://www.wayn.com.

Have fun surfing this webbie!!!

Oh yeah!!! Taylor won American Idol!!! He deserves it!!!

Anyway, yesterday I found out from a morning radio show that Angels and Demons will be made into a movie!! The deal is signed but the actors and directors have not been decided yet!! Can't wait for it... I doubt that the movie would be NC-16. It would probably M-18 or R-21. Well... only a year for me to turn 18!! LOL....

I was late today for school which was a bummer. I had to wait for 30 minutes for the bus to arrive. Usually, it will come at seven in the morning but today it was later than usual!!!

I only had an half an hour left to reach school which was not a good sign. My first lecture of the day was eight in the morning and I arrived at 8.20 exactly but thank god I was able to mark my attendance...

Anyways, the rest of the day went by smoothly. My hopes of going home early shattered when there was Bio practical. We thought it was e-learning and we could do it at home... but nope. However, today's Bio was interesting... it involves blood which was pretty scary. Pricking your friend's finger is terrifying... I was supposed to help prick her finger for her but in the end I chickened out.. haha It's really cool watching the blood cells moving around under the microscope..

Well... I guess that's all the time I have to update my entry...

oohh yeah!!! Watched Da Vinci Code yesterday with my new found friends - Seettha, Eunice, Anna and Hanisah. Really sad that Hanisah couldn't make it last minute...hope we can go out some time together again!!

Yesterday was my first time watching a NC-16 movie! I'm serious... after a year of being sweet 16, this is my first... hahah. The movie was damn cool and I wanna watch it again but I gotta study... lol. However my friends and I think that the book's much more better since some parts were not acted out....

We had a fun time especially me and Seettha. Whenever scenes of Silas punishing himself appeared, both of us would cuddle next to each other and close our eyes... that's how faint-hearted I am... lol. So to those who wanna bring me to the movies, never, never and I mean never, invite me to wach a horror movie!!! I'll blame you if I can't sleep for one whole week... lol.

Anyway... it's been great yesterday... watching a movie with my friends at night... and me, still pretty psyched out since it's my first NC-16 movie.. haha.. Can't wait to tease my cousins who can't watch the movie... I'm such a bad girl... :p

Shockingly I'm an early bird today. I'll start school at 12 today but I'll be leaving home early to meet up my friends for a group discussion. So here I am at 0747 writing out my blog. My intention this morning was to complete my assessment so that I could discuss my group members but it turned out to be tough. However, it was a miracle that my aunt lend me her nursing book so I would be bringing it to school today.

I've really got nothing to write anymore. You can say that I'm having a writer's block right now which can be really frustrating. I'm currently writing a story but it's put on hold due to school which I understand with all the school work and stuff. But writer's block and loss of inspiration really made me want to give it up altogether! I guess I have to wait for a free time where I can sit at a corner of my room undisturbed and just focus on my story....

Anyways... I better sign off now or else I'll be late ofr school. See ya!

Monday is back again after a very long weekend. And to what I know last week was the last long weekend for us! I want my holidays back!!!

Last weekend, I went on a short trip with my family to Batam. We stayed in Holiday Inn for 3 days 2 nights. That was my first family outing together after so many years. Previously, I would visit my cousin in Jakarta with my parents and relatives but my brother would not tag along. During those days, he would be busy with his army or even with school.

We planned lots of trip together but when we consulted my brother, he couldn't make it and we had to postpone it. This happens quite a lot and I could get a bit frustrated some times. But last weekend was one of the best outing with my family. It was lonely without our other relatives but it was fun in a way that we get to spend our time together as a family.

I guess that will be the last trip for my family this year since all of us won't be having the same holidays. My break will only start in June but during this week my father can't take a leave since he is having his "shut down". My father is working as an engineer at an oil plant in one of the islands in Singapore and a shut down is quite crucial for this type of job as it involved cleaning the oil plants.

So hopefully at the end of the year, we would be able to go on a holiday together since my mother's been planning to go to Solo, Indonesia instead of Jakarta for a change. I hope everything goes for the better for us....

I've changed my skin and my URL again...

Sorry for the inconvenienced caused. I just can't seem to make up my mind and can be fussy at times. But anyway... I think I'm quite satisfied with what I have now. I just have some minor difficulties here and there and am trying to fix it.

Anyway, I finally have been able to update!! Yay!! Tomorrow's a HOLIDAY. I'll be going to Batam for 2 days and 1 night with my family. We planned to go to KL by coach instead of the car but I guessed it wasn't our luck. All the coaches are fully booked and all we have left is the option to go to Batam. I was really looking forward to seeing KL again but I guess it's a next time then.

Only 3 weeks left to my assessment and my group's only starting!!! Now I get to feel the stress load when I started my course in NYP since April! Teamwork's really important nowadays. Without them, you won't be able to accomplish your tasks on time like what I've experienced. It really sucks when no one's co-operating but I guess we have to learn from our mistakes....

It's been a long time since I updated my blog, two weeks to be exact. I've been so busy with school that I didn't have time to let out my thoughts or feelings. Apart from that, I seem to have lost my inspiration to write. This goes the same for my story that I've been trying to complete for ages but didn't have the will to do.

However, today is different. The inspiration in me came back after hiding behind the back of my mind for so long and all this thanks to my beloves cousin Mariana. Without her, I don't think I'll be able to type this fast. Usually, it will take me a long time to write down a sentence! But thanks to you Mariana, my inspiration came back! Thank you dear!!!

Anyway, I've been thinking of changing the content of my blog. I feel that I'll not only update you with just books from Cecily von Ziegesar but other books that personally to me is a must read to book readers. I hope you won't mind about the change of my content but will always update news about Gossip Girl and more!!!

So now... I'll be updating about books that I have read and will recommend to everybody or books that I'm currently reading which really interest me a lot! I really hope you'll enjoy my blog even though it will not be the same as before. Thanks for understanding!!
